"Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir" - Perú (CDD – Perú) was launched on August 4, 2009 in Lima city, during the “Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir” Regional Meeting.
From then on, CDD – Peru has been working for the defense and compliance of sexual and reproductive rights, all of these from a theological catholic, feminist, secular and human rights approach.
In 2013, CDD – Peru received the “Rosemary Radford Ruether” award, granted by the Catholics for Choice organization, because of its diligence and extraordinary contribution to the right to choose activism based on Catholicism.
